Health & Wellness

UNIST Clinic

Starting with the opening of the Department of Psychiatry in 2016, the clinic expanded its scope of medical services by establishing a Department of Family Medicine in 2022, and also opened a Pharmacy to sell over-the-counter medications, prescription drugs, and other medical supplies.

Family medicine

The clinic provides primary care for common community diseases.
At the same time, it serves as a medical guide, providing various health consultations and advising on which hospitals and specialists to visit depending on specific diseases.

Main tasks
  • Treatment of common acute diseases: respiratory diseases (common cold), enteritis, indigestion, headaches, etc.
  • Chronic Disease Management: Continuous Management of Patients with Chronic Diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes, and Hyperlipidemia
  • Treatment of vague symptoms: Provides an initial diagnosis for symptoms that span multiple departments or are unclear, and refers patients to specialists if necessary.
  • IV room operation
  • Devices owned: Height/weight measuring device, automatic blood pressure monitor

Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry diagnoses various psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, and ADHD, and provides various treatments, including medication.

However, services are scheduled to be suspended as of January 1, 2026 due to the absence of a psychiatrist (resumption schedule TBD).

  • Available for up to 8 weeks
  • If two consecutive missed visits without prior notice accumulate, use of medical services will be restricted.
  • The Department of Psychiatry cannot issue medical certificates for purposes such as proof of Attendance or Academic Leave of Absence .
