Family Care Leave (Unpaid)

You may use leave if urgent care is required for a Faculty & Staff's grandparents, parents, spouse, spouse's parents, children, or grandchildren due to illness, accident, or old age.

reason
  • Article 61 of the Employment Rules (Support for Family Care, etc.)
Target
  • In cases where Faculty & Staff require urgent care due to the illness, accident, or old age of grandparents, parents, spouse, spouse's parents, children, or grandchildren
exception
  • Cases prescribed by the Enforcement Decree of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act
    • In cases where there are direct descendants of grandparents or direct ancestors of grandchildren in addition to oneself
Content
  • Granting up to 10 days of unpaid leave per year

    One-unit usage available

    The period of family care leave is included in the period of Family Care Leave.

treatment
  • Employees shall not be subjected to unfavorable treatment, such as being dismissed or having their working conditions worsened, on the grounds of taking Family Care Leave or family care vacation.
  • The period of Family Care Leave is included in the length of service, so there is no disadvantage regarding promotion, severance pay, etc.

  • Portal → Login → HR/Payroll → Working Hours/Leave → Leave Request Menu → Leave Type: Family Care (Unpaid) → Online Application

    You must record your clock-in and clock-out times on the portal system on flexible work days.
