“Being the first to do something is just as honorable as being the best at something!”

"It is important to be open to exploring fields beyond entertainment," said Seunghwan Lee, who delivered the commencement speech at the 2024 UNIST Commencement Ceremony held on February 15, 2024. "The experiences I have gained have helped me realize that something taken for granted in my major can be a remarkable endeavor in another field," added Seunghwan Lee.

"We were able to achieve good results, thanks to a variety of convergence education opportunities provided by UNIST, such as the freedom to choose any two majors for my double major, entrepreneurial opportunities, and involvement in the BTS research teams," he further emphasized.

In the middle is a photo taken of SeungHwan Lee, who has been honored with the 2023 Talent Award of Korea, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF).

Seunghwan Lee also promised to meet again at the top and encouraged everyone to do their best in their respective fields. He noted, "Until the day we reach the pinnacle of success, I wish you all the best."

Seunghwan Lee, as the representative speaker of the graduates, received the 2023 Talent Award of Korea in recognition of his dedication to convergence research in mechanical engineering and computer engineering. He was also honored with the Minister of Science and ICT Award for developing technologies to enhance the accuracy of search operations for missing people while completing his military duty as a police officer. Additionally, he has made significant academic achievements by presenting research results at the International Conference on Medical Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence and various academic journals.
