The ideal candidate will have a strong background in synthetic organic or organometallic chemistry with extensive experience in conducting multi-step reactions, handling air- and moisture-sensitive compounds (i.e., Schlenk and glovebox techniques), and using contemporary characterization techniques (NMR, MS, UV-vis, IR, etc.) Knowledge of modern polymer synthesis and analytical methods would be advantageous, but is not required.

The candidate should also have strong written and oral communication skills, and will be expected to identify problems, generate solutions, disseminate the results of such efforts via publications and/or patent applications, and mentor junior members of the research team.

Salary and other terms of the position, including the start date, are negotiable. If you are interested in this position, please send your CV to cmcm.synthesis@ibs.re.kr
